National Athletes Get A New Pool (StarSpecial 23 Mar 2011)

Having a pool at home has many benefits to all, which are mainly used for swimming and training, are also commonly used for aquatic exercises, rehabilitation and therapy, relaxation or just to have some fun.

The New showroom in Petaling Jaya was launched recently by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Senator Gan Ping Sieu and National Sports Council (NSC) director – general Datuk Zolkples Embong.

During the launch, Yap sponsored a Fastlane (swimming machine that creates water currents which mimics a smooth flowing river) for the National Sports Council to be utilized by their athletes during training.

Gan said the government had always recognized the importance of swimming as it is the main contributor to Malaysia’s medal tally in many international sporting events, especially in the SEA Games.

“The Government truly appreciates private companies that work together with us to further life the standards of sports in the country,” he said.
